Mammals are usually covered on fur e.g. Lions and horses or skin e.g. elephants and humans. They are located all over the Earth and usually like warmer more humid environments.
The Enclosure The enclosure at taronga zoo is big and roomy, the space they have given the Zebra's a lot room for them to run around like they would in their natural environment.
They have done the Zebra's enclosure well and they have have given them a place where they will feel at home.
The Features Fur The fur of the Zebra is black and white stripes which they use to confuse their predators by all cramming together. They also use their fur to keep the heat off them.
Hoofs The hoofs of the Zebra are almost the same as a horses hoofs. They are used to be able to run on hard surfaces at high speed.
Tail The tail of the Zebra (not a very good picture) is bone covered in for then hair. the tail is about half bone and half hair.
The Head The head of the Zebra is fitted to two big ears and a long face. They only really eat grass and hay as they graze in fields of grass.
Mane The mane on the Zebra is going down the long neck. it goes from in between the ears to the bottom of the neck.
